2. Former Ravens run-stuffer
The 27-year-old recorded 151 total tackles (according to NFL.com stats), with 3.5 sacks and two pass deflections with Baltimore. He was a key piece to the Ravens run defense, which finished in the top 5 in yards allowed per game in three of the past four seasons.
3. Small-school guy
Pierce signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2016 after a strong collegiate career at Samford University. He had 130 total tackles (including 19.0 tackles for loss) along with 4.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 34 career games with the Bulldogs.
4. Big man in the middle
Pierce is now the heaviest Viking on the roster. That distinction was held in recent years by defensive tackle Linval Joseph, who was listed at 329 pounds. Joseph was released on March 13.
