As it turns out, recording 12 sacks as a rookie does wonders for a player looking to make an impression on his peers.

Bradley Chubb, the fifth-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, was voted the 82nd-best player in the NFL, the league announced Tuesday.

Chubb is the first Broncos player to be named to this year's NFL Top 100, which is voted on by players around the league. He is also the first 2018 rookie to appear on the list

In his first year in the NFL, Chubb notched 12 sacks and was named a Pro Bowl alternate. Chubb also bested the Broncos' rookie sack record, which Von Miller set in 2011.

There’s reason to believe Chubb could move up this list in the future. Head Coach Vic Fangio said in June that Chubb is “tailor-made” for the team’s new defensive scheme.

“He’s a very smart football player, very coachable, very intense,” Fangio said. “I see nothing but bright days ahead for him.”

The remaining 80 players on the list will be revealed over the course of the next week.
