ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos presented their “Champions in the Community” awards and recognized safety Justin Simmons as the team’s 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee at a team meeting on Thursday.
Outside linebacker Von Miller was presented with the Broncos’ Community Impact Award, while cornerback Chris Harris Jr., linebacker Joe Jones, kicker Brandon McManus and safety Will Parks received the team’s Community Ambassador Awards. Additionally, the team recognized offensive lineman Dalton Risner as the Community Rookie of the Year.
