ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have released tight end Nick Vannett, the team announced Tuesday.

Vannett signed with the Broncos in 2020 and appeared in 15 games for Denver. Largely used as a blocking tight end, Vannett started 11 games and caught 14 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.

The five-year veteran played more than half the team's snaps in just two games last season and received 30 percent of the snaps or less in seven contests.

Vannett arrived in Denver after spending most of the 2019 season in Pittsburgh. He began his career in Seattle, which selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Following the start of free agency and Vannett's release, Noah Fant, Albert Okwuegbunam, Andrew Beck and Austin Fort are the tight ends remaining on the Broncos' roster.
