MATCHUP

To end a two-game skid to start the season, the Broncos will have to do something they haven't done since the 2015 season: beat Tom Brady. The future Hall of Famer is off to a slow start with his new team, but that should probably not come as too much of a surprise, especially to Broncos fans who watched Manning's first games in Denver. Like Manning was in 2012, Brady is 1-1 through his first two games with a new team, and he has thrown three touchdowns and three interceptions over that span. But the Buccaneers have a talented group on offense with Brady at the helm; they have two Pro Bowlers at receiver with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and tight ends O.J. Howard and Rob Gronkowski are not to be counted out either. A week after a tough challenge vs. the Steelers, Justin Simmons, Kareem Jackson, Bryce Callahan and Michael Ojemudia will have another tough task on their hands trying to slow down a passing attack that could be very dangerous.

The Bucs don't lack talent on the other side of the ball, either. Broncos fans will remember Shaquil Barrett, who spent five seasons in Denver before leading the league in sacks a year ago with Tampa. So far he's yet to get his first this season, but the Broncos' offensive line will have to be stouter than they were a week ago when they allowed seven sacks by the Steelers. Tampa's front seven also features former Pro Bowlers Ndamukong Suh and Jason Pierre-Paul, as well as perhaps one of the top inside-linebacker tandems in Devin White and Lavonte David. Melvin Gordon III was able to find room to run against Pittsburgh's front in Week 2, and the Broncos will need him to do the same on Sunday as Jeff Driskel finds his footing in his first start for Denver after an injury to Drew Lock.

INJURY UPDATE

The injuries have just kept coming for the Broncos. Courtland Sutton, Mark Barron, Dre'Mont Jones and DeMarcus Walker joined the likes of Von Miller and A.J. Bouye on injured reserve this week, and Drew Lock and Davontae Harris were ruled out for Sunday's game . Jerry Jeudy (ribs) is listed as questionable and Phillip Lindsay (toe) is listed as doubtful to play vs. Tampa.

The Buccaneers ruled out WR Justin Watson with a shoulder injury on Friday but had no other injury designations for Sunday's game. Godwin, who missed Tampa's Week 2 game as he went through the concussion protocol, will likely make his return to the field on Sunday; he did not receive a game status on Friday, which indicates that he will be available.
