Sunday was the best game of rookie Irv Smith, Jr.’s career, as he hauled in three receptions for 60 yards. His first catch came on the Vikings first series, as he hauled in a 20-yarder to put the Vikings on the Oakland 35; Kirk Cousins found Adam Thielen for a touchdown on the next play. Smith’s second grab was good for 26 yards and helped set up Alexander Mattison’s rushing touchdown four players later. And finally, Smith’s third catch was good for 26 yards to the Oakland 35 on a drive that ended in a 50-yard field goal by Bailey.
