“He goes unnoticed a lot,” Nagy said. “He’s one of the guys on the tea, that probably makes a lot of plays that you don’t see that helps out others just because he’s in the trenches. But he’s a heck of a player.”
In other injury news, outside linebacker Isaiah Irving will miss his second straight game with a quad injury he sustained two weeks ago against the Chargers.
For the Lions, defensive end Da’Shawn Hand (ankle) and safeties Miles Killebrew (concussion) and Tracy Walker (knee) have been ruled out of Sunday’s game.
Eight Detroit players are listed as questionable: quarterback Matthew Stafford (hip/back); guards Joe Dahl (ankle) and Graham Glasgow (back); defensive tackles Mike Daniels (foot), Damon Harrison (groin/non-injury) and A’Shawn Robinson (ankle); defensive end Romeo Okwara (groin) and punter Sam Martin (abdomen).
Stafford was limited in practice all week after hurting his back late in last Sunday’s loss to the Raiders. But the veteran quarterback told reporters Wednesday that he’s fine and plans to make his 137th consecutive start Sunday against the Bears, a streak that began in 2010.
