Other Bears starters who are listed as questionable after being limited Friday are outside linebacker Khalil Mack (back), defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (hamstring), left tackle Charles Leno Jr. (toe) and right tackle Germain Ifedi (calf).

The Bears are hoping that Hicks will be able to return to action Sunday against the Lions after missing last Sunday night's loss to the Packers.

"It's pretty obvious that he's such a great player that, for us, being able to have him out there is huge," Nagy said. "Just seeing him out there, his leadership … I think a lot of that stuff goes unrecognized, what he does when he's out there on that field. We want to be able to get him out there [Sunday], and it's good to see him out there [at practice]."

Other Bears listed as questionable are Nick Foles (hip), who is expected to serve as the Bears' No. 2 quarterback behind Mitchell Trubisky Sunday; and reserve linebackers James Vaughters (knee) and Josh Woods (foot).

Outside linebacker Roquan Smith and offensive lineman Alex Bars did not practice Friday for undisclosed reasons that were not injury-related. Nagy declined to elaborate but, when asked about Smith, said he expects the third-year pro to play on Sunday.

For the Lions, receiver Kenny Golladay (hip), defensive end Da'Shawn Hand (groin) and cornerback Jeff Okudah (shoulder) have been ruled out of the game. Quarterback Matthew Stafford (right thumb), running back D'Andre Swift (illness), defensive end Austin Bryant (thigh) and safety Tracy Walker (non-injury) are questionable.
