Congrats are in order for Jimmy Garoppolo, who is coming off one of his best performances of the season following the 48-46 victory over the New Orleans Saints. National pundits agree, as the San Francisco 49ers quarterback was named the Week 14 NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Garoppolo completed 26-of-35 passes for 349 yards and four touchdowns for a 131.7 passer rating against the league’s fifth-best passing defense. His four touchdowns tied previously set career highs against the Arizona Cardinals in Weeks 9 and 11 of this season. Sunday also marked the quarterback’s third 300-yard game on the year and the fifth of his career.
According to Pro Football Focus, the quarterback had a perfect passer rating on throws of 10-plus yards downfield on Sunday. He was also successful when using play action, completing 10-of-13 throws for 186 yards and two touchdowns for a passer rating of 157.9.
