For the last decade, the Cardinals have had their share of stars.

Some were good enough to be among the best the NFL had to offer for that 10-year period.

Three current Cardinals – wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, cornerback Patrick Peterson and linebacker Chandler Jones – were selected as part of the NFL's all-decade team from 2010-2019, it was announced Monday.

A player had to be voted to a Pro Bowl, on to an Associated Press All-Pro team or to a Pro Football Writers Association all-conference team to be eligible. The selectors were the 48 people that make up the Hall of Fame selection committee.

Others with Cardinals' ties also made the team, including defensive lineman Calais Campbell, who spent the first seven years of the decade in Arizona. Safety Tyrann Mathieu, who was a Cardinal the first five years of his career after being drafted in 2013, and running back Adrian Peterson, who played for the Cards in 2017, were also selected.

Fitzgerald, one of the few players to have played each year of the decade, was already going into his seventh NFL season in 2010. A member of the NFL 100's all-time team, Fitzgerald made seven Pro Bowls in the decade of the 2010s, more than any receiver. He had three seasons of at least 100 receptions in the decade, and five seasons of at least 1,000 yards. Fitzgerald has the second-most catches and second-most yards receiving in NFL history.

Peterson, drafted in 2011, made the Pro Bowl each of his first eight seasons. The only games he has missed since arriving in the league came in 2019 when he was suspended for six games, and he has started each of the 138 he has played. He had 25 interceptions and 12 fumble recoveries, along with four sacks in the decade, and was voted as first-team all-pro three times.

Jones, drafted by the Patriots in 2012, has spent half of his eight-year NFL career with the Cardinals. No player has more sacks – 96 – or forced fumbles – 27 – than Jones since he arrived in the NFL. And his last four years with the Cards, he has been his best, piling up 60 sacks and 67 tackles for loss in those four years. Twice he was named first-team all-pro, both with the Cardinals, and was selected to the Pro Bowl three times.
