GREEN BAY – The 2020 regular season was chock full of both individual and team milestones for the Green Bay Packers.


Led by record-setting performances from QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Davante Adams, the Packers plastered achievements from 2020 all over the team and league history books.


Here's a rundown of several significant marks, courtesy of the Packers communications department and the Elias Sports Bureau.


Aaron Rodgers

  • Set the NFL single-season records for games with a 100-plus passer rating (14), games with a 100-plus passer rating and three-plus TD passes (12), games with three-plus TD passes and zero INTs (10), and games with two-plus TD passes and a completion percentage of 70-plus (10).
  • Tied the NFL single-season record for games with three-plus TD passes (12) with Tom Brady (2007).
  • Set the franchise single-season records for TD passes (48), completion percentage (70.72) and games with four-plus TD passes (seven), all of which led the league in 2020. The seven games with four-plus TD passes tied for second in league history with Patrick Mahomes (2018), behind Peyton Manning's nine (2013).
  • Compiled the second-highest passer rating in league history (121.5), behind only his own 122.5 from 2011, and the second-most completions in team history (372), behind only his own 401 from 2016.
  • Tied Sammy Baugh for the most seasons leading the NFL in lowest interception percentage (5; 2009, '14, '18-20) and became the first QB to lead the league in three straight years.
  • Became the first QB since Steve Young in 1992 to lead the league in the four categories of passer rating, TD passes, and completion and INT percentages.

Davante Adams

  • Set the franchise single-season record for receptions (115) and tied the mark for receiving TDs (18) with Sterling Sharpe (1994).
  • Became the first player in league history with 100-plus receptions and 18 TDs in one season.
  • Tied for third in league history for most TD receptions in one season with Sharpe and Mark Clayton (1984), behind 23 by Randy Moss (2007) and 22 by Jerry Rice (1987).
  • Tied the NFL record for games with 10-plus receptions and two-plus TDs in one season with four, matching Cris Carter (1995).
  • Tied the franchise mark for games with 100-plus receiving yards and a TD with seven, matching Jordy Nelson (2014).
  • Compiled the second-most games in league history with 10-plus receptions, 100-plus yards and a TD with five, behind only the six by Michael Thomas (2019), and the second-most games in team history with multiple TD catches with five, behind only the six by Don Hutson (1942).
  • Moved into fourth on the franchise's all-time list in receiving TDs (62) and receptions (546). He trails Sharpe by three TDs and Nelson by four receptions for third place in both categories.

Other individuals

  • RB Aaron Jones set the single-season franchise record for yards per carry (minimum 200 attempts) at 5.49, with 1,104 yards on 201 rushes. Jones also became just the second player in league history, along with Jim Brown, to compile 3,000 rushing yards, 35 TDs, and 5.0 yards per carry over his first four seasons in the league.
  • TE Robert Tonyan tied the single-season team mark for TD receptions by a tight end with 11, matching Paul Coffman (1983).
  • K Mason Crosby set the single-season franchise mark for field-goal percentage (minimum one attempt per game) at 100, going 16-for-16.
  • Head Coach Matt LaFleur compiled the second-most wins by any NFL coach in his first two seasons with 26, behind only George Seifert's 28 (1989-90).

Team milestones


The Packers …

  • Compiled the most 30-point games in one season (12) and scored the second-most points (509) and TDs (66) in team history, behind the marks of 560 and 70 (2011). They also scored the most points on the road in one season in team history (256).
  • Recorded back-to-back 13-win seasons for just the second time in team history (also 1996-97).
  • Set the single-season team record for fewest turnovers (11) and most zero-turnover games (10).
  • Amassed the fewest turnovers over a two-season span in team history (24), which is tied for second in league history with New Orleans (2018-19), behind only New England's 23 (2016-17).
  • Tied the NFL single-season mark for games with 30-plus points and no turnovers (nine), matching New England (2010).
  • Set the NFL record for the most points scored in the second quarter (219).
  • Set team records for third-down percentage (49.44) and total first downs (358), and tied the team mark for fewest games with one or zero sacks allowed (13, also 2004). (Note: Third-down stats have been kept only since 1970 and sacks since 1982.)
  • Recorded the highest red-zone TD percentage in the NFL over the last 40 seasons at 80.0.
  • Punted the fewest times in team history in one season (47).
  • Had 11 different players catch a TD pass, most in team history.
  • Scored the most points by any NFL team on opening drives (73) since the league began keeping the stat in 2000, while tying the marks for the most opening-drive scores (13; also New England, 2007) and most opening-drive TDs (nine; four other teams).
