It started with a 4-yard run by RB Aaron Jones on the final play of the first quarter. After the teams changed directions, a defensive holding penalty on the Lions gave the Packers a first down. From there, it was pretty smooth sailing.
Rodgers hit Jones on a short crossing route that ruptured into a 22-yard gain. On the next three snaps, he connected with WR Davante Adams for 11 yards, RB Tyler Ervin for 4 and WR Allen Lazard for 10.
Jones did the rest, running twice for 7 yards and then, on third-and-3 from the 7-yard line, leaking out into the flat for an easy pitch-and-catch for the touchdown.
The Packers were right back in it at 14-10, and it started a run in which Green Bay scored 31 straight points after the early 14-3 deficit. Jones accounted for 45 yards on the drive, setting the stage for his career-best 236 yards from scrimmage – 168 rushing and 68 receiving – with three TDs in all.
