The Green Bay Packers have placed CB Kabion Ento (kay-be-on N-toe) and LB Kamal Martin (kuh-MALL) on injured reserve and signed CB Parry Nickerson. The transactions were announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Nickerson (5-10, 182), a third-year player out of Tulane University, was originally drafted by the New York Jets in the sixth round (No. 179 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he played in 16 games with two starts for the Jets, recording 19 tackles (16 solo) and a pass defensed. Nickerson was traded on Aug. 31, 2019, to the Seattle Seahawks. He spent part of last season on the practice squads of the Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars before being promoted to the Jaguars' active roster, where he went on to play in four games with one start. Nickerson will wear No. 35 for the Packers.
