GREEN BAY – The Packers are NFC North champions once again and Aaron Rodgers is up for yet another weekly award.
The two-time MVP quarterback has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week following Sunday's 31-24 triumph over the Detroit Lions, a victory that clinched back-to-back division crowns for Green Bay.
Fans are encouraged to vote for Rodgers here, on Twitter via the @NFL published polls and on the NFL Mobile App. Voting is open until Wednesday at 2 p.m. CT.
Rodgers completed 26 of 33 passes for 290 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the win. While it technically doesn't count towards the FedEx Air award, the 16-year veteran also rushed for his franchise-record 30th career TD on Sunday, as well.
Rodgers has made a compelling case for capturing his third MVP award this season, having completed 312 of 448 passes (69.6%) for 3,685 yards, 39 touchdowns and four interceptions. His 119.7 passer rating currently leads all NFL QBs.
Rodgers is the first player in NFL history to have nine games in a season with three-plus touchdowns and zero INTs. With 39 TD passes this season, Rodgers has tied his previous franchise record from 2011 through the first 13 games of the season.
Other nominees for Air Player of Week 14 are Chicago's Mitchell Trubisky (24 of 33 for 267 yards and three TDs) and Denver's 21 of 27 for 280 yards and four TDs).
