The Green Bay Packers have signed G Lucas Patrick to a contract extension. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Saturday.
Patrick originally signed with Green Bay in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of Duke. After spending his rookie season on the practice squad, he has appeared in 39 games with six starts over the last three seasons (2017-19). Patrick started games at both guard positions (three each) in 2017-18. Earlier this season, he filled in at center after Corey Linsley went down with an injury on the third series of the game at Dallas. Against the Cowboys, he was part of a line that helped clear the way for RB Aaron Jones’ 182 yards from scrimmage (107 rushing, 75 receiving) along with four rushing TDs as Jones matched the single-game franchise record for rushing TDs.
