The Panthers are taking their podcasting operation to a whole new level in 2019.
The team is launching a revamped podcast network that, all told, will feature a dozen shows. Fans can access the shows on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play and the Panthers official website and mobile app.
Talent will include former players and names Panthers fans are very familiar with. There will be something for every fan, with topics ranging from X’s and O’s, to fantasy football, to food and other off-field topics.
“Podcasts provide an innovative way to connect with audiences and serve the needs of sponsors through smart, compelling storytelling,” said executive radio producer David Langton, who is overseeing the podcast network. “There are no boundaries. We view podcasting as an effective way to connect with new fans and deepen the relationships with existing ones.”
Four shows are now available (click here to see available episodes), and here’s more on what you can expect from them.
Group Chat: Caroline Cann, Max Henson and Will Bryan of the Panthers’ digital media team bring you a weekly show about all things related to the team: pop-culture, off-the-field shenanigans, and the moments between the pylons.
25 Seasons: Mick Mixon, the play-by-play voice of the Panthers, will bring you interviews with a wide range of personalities from the team’s history.
En La Gaurida con Los Panthers: A Spanish language show brought to you by team broadcasters Jaime Moreno and Luis Moreno, Jr.
Inside Voices: Each week, Stormy Buonantony and former NFL lineman, Kevin Donnalley, team up to take you inside the NFL, the NFC South, and your Carolina Panthers to discuss and break down all the biggest news and headlines.
Stay tuned for more shows to become available as the season continues.
