CHARLOTTE – Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater left Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers with a right knee injury and did not return. As of Sunday night, the severity of the injury was unclear.

"I don't know because he got up and walked off," head coach Matt Rhule said when asked about his level of concern for Bridgewater. "When it comes to knees and stuff like that, I never know. I don't have a feel one way or the other because, unfortunately, when the game is over, I come in, he's not in there. So, I haven't had a chance to see him yet or anything."

Bridgewater, who limped off the field with 5:24 left after a sack by outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul, went under the blue medical tent before slowly making his way to the locker room. P.J. Walker replaced Bridgewater and went 2-for-4 for 12 yards.

Bridgewater's day started much better than it finished. He began 12-for-12 for 105 yards with two touchdowns as the Panthers took a 17-10 lead in the second quarter. But he went 6-for-12 for 31 yards with an interception the rest of the way as the Bucs ran away with a 46-23 win.

Pierre-Paul's sack was the lone one allowed on Bridgewater, who also rushed three times for 16 yards with a 3-yard touchdown.
