Wendell Smallwood is still in the NFC East.
Via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the former Eagles running back was claimed off waivers by Washington.
The former fifth-round pick was never able to stand out in a crowded Eagles backfield, but Washington was fairly full there also.
They kept Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice, and Chris Thompson, along with return man Byron Marshall.
